A construction company has been appointed and Kingsmead House in Bath, reputedly Bath’s ugliest building, has been demolished - all to make way for the new Apex City of Bath Hotel.

Building work will start on site shortly on the new 177-bedroom Apex City of Bath Hotel, the group’s tenth hotel and only its second new-build property.

The £35million project is expected to open late spring 2017.

Apex City of Bath Hotel will be a full service hotel with conference facilities. It is located in the Bath Conservation Area.
