Amazing Retreats will be opening a new departure office at the Royal Clarence Marina in Gosport for guests travelling to and from Spitbank Fort, the venue they are currently refurbishing in the Solent.

 Spitbank Fort is a former Napoleonic fort which is being transformed into a nine bedroom hotel cum luxury retreat. Accessible only by boat, Spitbank Fort features nine double en-suite bedrooms, an open air hot pool overlooking the sea, a champagne bar, a roof top sauna and fire pit, a glass lighthouse overlooking Portsmouth, a games and television room, a courtyard, a traditional gym and a first floor meeting room.

 Spitbank Fort is scheduled to open in March 2012. The Departure Lounge at Royal Clarence Marina is scheduled to open in February 2012.  The journey from mainland to the Fort will take just 12 minutes. There will be plenty of secure parking at the marina.
