Savoy Hotel teams up with Abbey Road Studios

The Savoy Hotel in London, managed by Fairmont Hotels has teamed up with Abbey Road Studios in London to refurbish the recording studios and event space in the same style as the Savoy Hotel.

The commercial partnership between EMI, the record company which owns Abbey Road and Fairmont, is the latest move designed to secure the future of the famous St John's Wood studios, which are celebrating their 80th anniversary but had faced the threat of sale to property developers. The agreement means that Fairmont guests will get the opportunity to visit and record songs at the Abbey Road studios.
