The CastleGate Newcastle is also an historic building with a 'past'. It is located in the centre of Newcastle. Originally it was Manors Power Station which opened in 1903 to house the offices and power generating machinery for the tram network in Newcastle and Gateshead.

The CastleGate has a range of meeting facilities:

The Turbine Hall was originally the power generating room but now is an open hall which will seat up to 400 delegates and can be used for conferences, exhibitions, examinations or fashion shows. The Basement Room has direct access from outside and will seat up to 80 delegates. On the first floor is a room to seat 35 with a lounge alongside. On the second floor is a main room to seat up to 60 delegates with four syndicate rooms each seating 10 to 15 delegates making it ideal for training sessions. On the third floor is a room that seats up to 130 delegates with windows on three sides.

Catering and equipment hire is available on-site.

The CastleGate is in Melbourne Street in the city centre and a short walk from Newcastle Central station.
